  For best results, keep the sanding surface and face of the disc clean by frequently rinsing with water ( a spray bottle filled with water works best)
   
• Preparation for use:
  3" Sanding Discs are ready to use
  
  All other discs work optimally when soaked in water prior to use (15-30 minutes is ideal)
  Soaking in water allows time for backing materials and various coatings to absorb the water, effectively improving flexibility of the disc
  
  Foam Finishing Discs will not work optimally initially, and require some use before the specialized coatings are scrubbed away
  
  After this "break-in period", maximum performance will be apparent
