The Meguiar's WRWHC7 7" Wool Buffing Pad features 3/4-inch long wool fibers that are attached to a flat backing, so they lay down a rather large footprint compared to wool pads that feature a curved backing. Although curved pads contour well, they can obscure the edges of panels, so it can be hard to judge whether the pad is buffing near the edge of a panel, or on the edge. The Meguiar's DA Microfiber Xtra-Cut Discs are the newest addition to the DA Microfiber Correction System. They are similar in design to the original DA Microfiber Cutting Discs, except that the intermediate layer of cushioning foam has been eliminated.  

Consequently, absorption and distortion of the machine's random orbital motion is virtually non-existent. Orbiting-action is therefore more accurately & completely transferred through the disc.  

Speed of cut and leveling ability is greatly enhanced, particulary when utilizing random orbital machines that feature a small stroke (such as a typical palm-style sander). These discs are also available in a 6" version.

Note: There may be instances when the lack of cushioning limits the Xtra-Cut Disc's ability to conform to the panel being polished. If this is the case, a DMC5 DA Microfiber Cutting Disc may be a better choice.

For follow-up polishing: 
Use the Meguiar's DMF5 5" DA Microfiber Finishing Disc. Or, try one of the Meguiar's 5" DA Foam Discs.

Just like their big brothers, only smaller.

A lot of manufacturers take an already available foam, glue a loop backing onto one side, and then slice it into little pucks.  Done. Not so with these beauties.  They were designed to deliver optimum performance as a small pad.  Take a look at that profile!

The flared sides of the pad allow it to be used on complex shapes and tightly curved areas.  The curved edge at the face of the pad fits virtually any curved surface like a racing tire, and won't rip or tear like common square-edged pads.  These pads are very durable, and machine washable to boot.

The  maroon  pad is stiffer than the others, and is designed to  be used for heavy defect removal and surface leveling.

The  yellow  pad offers improved contourability, and is a great choice for general polishing duties.

The  black  pad is soft and pliable, and is the perfect choice for final polishing.

An updated version of a tried & true pad system. 

Meguiar's 7" Professional Soft Buff Rotary Foam Buffing Pads are available in three grades of foam, ensuring that just about any polishing task can be comfortably & efficiently accomplished. They can be used with a wide variety of buffing liquids, and are machine washable. Although these pads are designed for use with rotary polishers, they work well with large-stroke random orbital polishers, such as the Rupes 6" BigFoot LHR21ES and LHR21lll.

 Maroon Foam Cutting Pads. 
Typical foam cutting pads can leave paint surfaces scoured with a layer of fine, hazy scratch marks. Not so with these beauties! Remarkably, Meguiar's 7" Foam Cutting Pads will rarely scour even the most delicate of paint finishes.

 Yellow Foam Polishing Pads.
It's no secret that Meguiar's Yellow Foam Polishing Pads have been an industry standard for decades. Compared to their maroon counterparts, Meguiar's 7" Yellow Foam Polishing Pads feature improved contourability. A great choice for general polishing tasks. 

 Black Foam Finishing Pads.
